African Daisy - Dimorphotheca sinuata

Plant description: African daisy is a showy yet hardy flower that can return year after year. It is not uncommon to find this plant growing near your yard, but not where you planted it, the next season!

Bloom period: Early winter and spring in warm climates, spring and early summer in cooler climates. The daisy flowers are gold, orange and yellow.

Planting and growing information: Plant in fall in warmer climates, usually this is using seed. They will grow in just about any soil but thrive if the soil is well-draining. Mix seed with sand or mulch to help fan them out in the soil. Press lightly but do not bury seed. Water every couple of days until they germinate, then once per week.
