Plant description: This soft, delicate plant grows as a wildflower in the desert but can survive in the warmer parts of zone 5 and better. In dry areas like Arizona and Nevada, try to grow this plant near a northern or eastern exposure.

Planting and growing information: Seeds can be sown during the fall outdoors. The golden columbine takes 2 years to bloom if planted from seed but the gorgeous flowers are well worth the wait.
