Plant description: One of the most hardy of all the cactus, the golden barrel's graceful yellow spines look stunning year to year. The cactus slowly grows to 3 feet tall and just as wide. Older golden barrels will produce offspring/shoots. This cactus looks great when planted in groups.

Planting and growing information: Slow-growing cactus that germinates very easily from seed in the proper conditions. Seeds will sprout within a few days.
