Plant description: A South American native, this tree like cactus branches from the base and can get quite tall. It has a blue/green color ribbed with spines.

Bloom period: Summer. Large, fragrant white flowers that open in the middle of the night and close up and in the morning. If pollinated the flowers will drop off and a plum-sized red fruit will grow. Birds love this fruit and bees love the flowers.
Planting and growing information: Can be propagated from cuttings or seed. Allow the cut area to harden/scar before planting.
