Things to do in your desert garden in November:

Plant:
- Plant prepared bulbs in amended beds
Care:
- If there's been frost and canna are damaged, cut back any dead leaves to prevent pests from taking over.
- Watch for aphids to pop up on new growth. A strong spray of water should correct the problem.
- Rake any fallen leaves and add to compost pile.
- Harvest citrus.
- Be ready for frost around the end of the month.
Watering:
- Examine and make repairs to your irrigation system. The hot summer sun can crack and dry out the emitters.
- Reduce watering frequency to a winter schedule.
