Plant description: Few palms can withstand the amount of drought a Mediterranean fan palm can tolerate. It is also quite cold hardy with minimal damage. Roots are not invasive. The fan palm is a very slow grower and produces dozens of off-shoots. This palm tree can grow as a bush or pruned to take on the look of many palm trees at a time.
