Plant description: Attracts bees. Multi-stemmed tree with thorny branches. Native to S. Texas and Mexico. Growth is slow to moderate. Makes an excellent screen and is good to control erosion. Can thrive on rocky hillsides. Hardy to 20 degrees F.

Bloom period: March - June. White to pale yellow flowers that can at times take over the entire tree.
